Day 4 (Money Saving Mom's 4 Weeks to a More Organized Home {Simplified})

Today we were supposed to:

  1. Get dressed in something we feel good about.
  2. Sit down with a cuppa and write down 5-7 goals for today from our weekly goal list.
  3. Quickly, for 15 minutes, clean the most-used bathroom in the house. There was a helpful link given about a 15-minute bathroom clean that I used.
  4. For 10 minutes, clean underneath furniture and put away any items found. If we had more time, we were to move the furniture and vacuum or sweep underneath.
I did all of these things, but only cleaned underneath our couch. I used all ten minutes on the couch because I got sidetracked into sweeping not only under the couch but over our whole common area (all our flooring is either laminate or tile). Our other furniture could use some looking-under, but I am pleased as punch with swept common area floors.

This is Xander's school list - he gets to erase each thing off the dry-erase board as we do it. It may look like a lot, but we can do this in about an hour, minus the Nature Walk and Journal and recorder practice. Some of the wiping down of bathroom and free reading got done earlier in the day.

Before - part of what was under the couch

We finally found our DVDs as a consequence of moving the couch!

  1. I did the same thing with the under the furniture and stuck to the living room because I decided to mop the wood floors under there :)

  2. I hope you feel good about it! That sounds like a nice task to have done. :)
